“The game started with a drive down the sideline by the Bolly Hopehawks. Reyas-Than (particularly deadly today with 1 kill and 1 near death) stopped the drive cold, slaying Muskid. But the Hopehawks were undeterred, ducking in behind the Blackstone Legion's front line (severely weakened with Oreas-Thar missing the game) and then laying waste to that line, attacking from in front and behind. The Legion could do little to stop them, and Harlinian of the Hopehawks marched down to score, pausing only to foul a few players on the way. The Legion quickly responded with a daring push down the center, sending two ghoul receivers up the middle. The Hopehawks tried to close the gap but the Legion's front line caught up and cleared the way for Helian to throw the ball to Horan who raced in to score. With time running out, the Hopehawks launched another strong drive down the sideline again. The Legion moved into position to hinder the drive as much as possible and was successful when Egregian managed to intercept a pass to Hvat.

The second half began with the Legion receiving the kick and timing their responses perfectly. They drove up the center, and in doing so left small gaps though which the ghoul receivers managed to slip through into the Hopehawks' backfield. This time the Hopehawks tied the receivers up, so Pathos tossed the ball to the open Egregian who began marching down the sidelines. The Hopehawks dodged away from several players to knock Egregian over and the ball loose. The Legion's Horan briefly recovered the ball, before tripping and leaving the ball for the Hopehawks' Ulk to pick up and then toss to Harlinian. The Legion mounted a punishing defense, but the counter strike was artfully delivered and Harlinian made a break for the end zone. Unfortunately for him, both Pathos and Egregian escaped, caught up and knocked the ball loose. As other elves caught up to the three, a struggle for possession began. Harlinian fumbled a grab leaving the door open for Pathos to grab the ball. The Hopehawks began to swarm around Pathos, severely hemming him in. However Pathos managed to pull off an impressive series of dodges capped off by a long pass to Horan who went in for the winning score as time ran out.
