“Yet another game for DoB where the players appeared to have had too much fun at the bar before the game.
In the first half, especially during the first turns, I was completely taken by surprise by the guard/stand firm linemen of the opponent and was pretty much unable to do anything to stop the opponent from overpowering my norse and going 1-0. At the next kick off I took more care and got bit better into the game but was nowhere near scoring a goal - partly thanks to extremely bad kick of the opponent (ball landed on upper left corner of the pitch).
The second half was IMO much more balanced and most of the game was played near the half-line with my norse slowly but uncertainly - more than a bit wobbly on critical dodges and GFIs - nearing the opponents goal line. Too bad DoB eventually fell back to its age old tradition of going to VIP Lounge (aka KO bin) instead of staying on pitch when the critical moments are at hand...The coach is thinking about cutting back on lounge drink service to encourage the players to stay on pitch instead of faking injury in order to get free beer.
Overall, I had fun playing this game and the result was good for my team - no FF or player loss and enough money to buy another worthle...overpric...umm...blitzer.
Grats for the opponent for the win, and thanks for treating my poor team with silk gloves! ;-)”
