“Gothem Geckos hadn't played for almost 6 months, but was brought out of hibernation to face berrugas, a well developed team with excellent throwers, beefed up runners, a vicious rat ogre and a razor sharp clawed monster lineman - paz - who looked like he had been born for the purpose of hunting skinks.

ToniNitron also gambled a bit and spent his apothecary to bring the star player vuelo into the game.

The Geckos got the kickoff and quickly set off on an offensive drive along the right flank, while most of the skaven tied up Huanhuan and some sauruses on the left one. Chiccinzi was mauled by paz and fractured his arm, but the skink hunter didn't get to do much more since the always fantastic Gorhuan charged him and badly injured him. While the offensive drive continued Gorhuan also disposed of vuelo, which meant that ToniNitron's gamble turned out costly.

Meanwhile Huanhuan and his saurus companions took a fierce beating on the left flank, and with a dirty player hovering around them the Geckos didn't risk their healthy by stalling and scored through Goqtoc.

The Geckos were no on defense and the berrugas wanted revenge. Conqua-uax was badly injured on the LOS and Huanhuan seemed confuzed by the scurrying skaven, which lead to them being able to score a last second equalizer, right from under the feet of Quetloq and despite the pouring rain.

After the half time break the skaven were yet again on offense and could quite easily make their way through the Gecko ranks and score 2-1. But the Geckos fought back! They launched yet another fast running skink cage down the right flank and Gorhuan yet again showed his magnificence by knocking out the fearsome rat ogre so that Chiquet could score the equalizer.

Berrugas now had two turns left to try to win the game. A downed storm vermin meant that their offensive drive lost momentum, and Quetloq charged through their lines and set aim for the ball carrier. In an attempt to show off the skaven thrower tried to dodge away and hurl a long bomb, but instead he tripped and fell, losing hold of the ball. With just seconds left of the match Quetloq snatched it up and ran in 3-2 for the Geckos, a daring achievment that won the little skink the MVP!
