#2 Governor Elaine Marley – Smashed Knee (NI)
Well a very odd game. Started with the humans kicking to the orcs and I quickly ditched positioning for gang fouls and BH an ag4 blitzer. The orcs were soon safely caged up so i again concentrated on the boot, hoping for a numbers advantage 2nd half. The downside of this plan was i soon got into horrible position and with half my team in the KO box i didn't see any point in standing up my surrounded players and the rest of the half was turned out. I try an OTS but againcan't roll a push when needed :P

the second half started well with the humans fouling a BO and woodstock had to use his apo on a mng. My ogre then BH the orc troll with regen failing and things looked good for the humans despite the orcs GTR (but with dp ko'd). The humans kept fouling and gained the numbers advantage they were after. But as they looked to move the ball forward bad things started happening, my best blitzer tripped on a dodge and niggled himself, followed by a foul mng'ing another and thingslooked pretty bad for the humans. T7 and most of my players were tied up little beyond the half way line. I manage to free a catcher and get him the ball. He then runs up the pitch alone, whilst the other catcher manages to tie up the orcs only tackler. Woodstock dodges out for a 3db blitz withut tackle, but can't roll a pow with the rr, so i manage to fluke a last turn equaliser.

So the game goes to OT. I have 1 rr left but the orcs are all out (after strangely using thier last on the los t16). The human are selected to kick and thingsdon't look very good for them with som key players out.

woodstock manages to retrive the ball deep and we start off by tradinga few fouls, a gap in the line and i decide to hopefully throw a few players forward and manage to get a few tz on the ball. Woodstock then double skulls and i turnover the ball and secure it in a not-so-safe mini-cage. Woodstck manages to unpick the weak defence and gets the ball back, i roll double skulls early in my next turn and things look bad, but then woodstock rolls another set of skulls allowing me to get the ball back yet again. By this time there is only a turn left and we are both bogged down in the middle of the pitch with hopeful recievers in TD range, woodstock tries an unlikely last ditch td attempt first but fails and then i copy him in my attempt and the game ends as a draw with me through on the coin.

Unlucky woodstock, you definately deserved the win for controlling the game for so long, but seems the pluckey humans made it throug against the nasty orcs :P
