“Kondor met the Lurking Grue at mid field and congratulated him on a well managed match. This was one Kondor felt sure to lose coming into the game. The Bovines are simply a stronger team with an excellent coach. As he looked into the Grue's eyes, he thought he saw that the coach had felt the same way.

With a nod, Kondor turned and headed for his locker room. As he walked, he reflected upon the match. The outright loss by P&P was hlepped by a poor opening kickoff that placed the ball in the hands of the Saurus Alexander Hamilton. It allowed P&P to move down the filed quickly while tying up the Bovine key players. Near the midpoint of the half, Hamilton blitzed an impeding hobgoblin and cruised to the endzone.

Decent defense by P&P kept the herd form the endzone before the half and Tricky Dick Nixon even took a moment to run over and drop a boot on Junior Wells. This helped by putting one dwarf out of the game for the second half.

The second half saw a battle with P&P trying to slow the bovines as much as possible. Kondor knew with his lack of players, and their lack of skill, it would be difficult to hold them off. Mid-way through the second half, the Bovines scored and P&P was down to a single skink. The rookie dodged as long as he could, and ran behind the nearest saurus for protection. It was not enough as a blitzing centaur popped the ball out and left him prone with moments to play.

It all came down to if the fairly agile centaur could pick up the loose ball. With some effort, the meddling saurus was blitzed away, but the centaur could not manage to find the endzone.
