“Kondor crossed the pitch and met Coach Origen to congratulate him on a well played match.

The official statistics of the match may not reflect it, but Nuffle had squarely helped the Hired Hands at strategic moments of the match. Dropped passes and missed blocks dogged Avenguard's finest throughout the first half of the game. With a 2-0 lead at halftime, it was going to be a tall order for Origen's elves to overcome.

Still, the Aeces would not give an inch in the second half despite the Hands managing to obtain the ball. Try as they might, they simply could not find a crack in the Avenguard defense. With time about to expire and the game in hand, Kondor called for a risky play that backfired. The long pass to the blitzer was intercepted allowing the most elemental of plays to bring about the Avenguard TD.

Returning to the locker room, Kondor considered the match. This one had gone his way, but there were many issues to be discussed amongst the team. Errors were made that could have cost the match. Back to the drawing board tomorrow.
