As usual, bad luck costs me a tie.

In the first turn, Hank puts together a score with effortless ease. Though disturbing, at least it gives me plenty of time for a return score, which I eventually manage, in large part due to opportune knockout results.

The second half was admittedly hampered by my decision to not form a traditional cage. However, I didn't really think I'd need it, and were it not for Nuffle's continuing grudge against me, I wouldn't. On the critical turn, my ball carrying blitzer blitzes a standfirm/tackler in his TZ and of course fails to get a knock down. He then attempts a dodge at 3+ and fails, falling over. But what had set my turn up for failure was my double skull block to open the round, thus stealing my re-roll.

Having failed, he then manages to knock down my adjacent thrower, pick up the ball, and scramble away. He then stalls for a few turns, during which he suffers a niggler.

Bloodbowl can be very frustrating at times, because the dice can sabotage what should otherwise be very reliable plans. But that is also what makes it interesting, and in the end a game with no permanent injuries is a lot more important than a win, at this stage in team development.
