More Ogres! This time no block/tackle ogres and no sure handed ogres. This made our life much easier - but only just. In the first half, we swarmed and fouled the ogres and did....NOTHING! Bah, it was a waste, and then of course after we scored partway through, the ogres started to POUND away. Our KOed players decided they like to stay there and our CAS boxes were starting to fill rapidly. But up 1-0, and after an amazing ogre pass play narrowly fell short (trip on goal line), we were in good shape, with stripball taking the ball away from whatever ogre picked it up...it was only a matter of time...finally a bonehead RRed for a blitz that was skulls gave us the chance - a fireball flattened some more big oafs and we picked up the ball and spirited it away for the 2-0 lead and game. We danced a bit and watched the ogres score...but it was far to late to matter and we avoided contact at the end to preserve our players for the battles ahead...we managed our 2 CAS - including a very nice RIP on the little annoying goblin :)
-------
Handicap was Duh Where Am I - which had to be placed on the goblin...and never came into play. Overall, the game was wellplayed - our wardancer prevailed when needed and with the wizard, it was more than enough against an ogre team with no tackle or break tackle.”
