“As often seems to be the case, a substantially more fortunate coach manages to crush my more advanced team.
Although the very first turn started badly for Buskopanz, from then on he could do no wrong (at the beginning he was concerned he'd have to win with "bad dice." However, he was unaware that, playing me, he was practically guaranteed the better luck). It would be an exaggeration to say all his blocks ended in knockdowns, but an incredibly high percentage did. Though, that is largely a side-effect of blocking at greater, and while many more of mine ended in pushes than his, it's not clear without further analysis whether he was lucky or I was unlucky.
In the end, what really helped him was the knockout rolls. I had three four players knockedout to his one, and his came back, whereas only one of mine did. In fact, out of six KO recovery rolls, I only made one. With my 5 STR Black Orc and my 4 STR/AGI blitzer both KO'ed, I am missing the heart of my offense.
At the end of the first half I did blow a chance at a one-turn score by fouling. Although I was unlucky to get ejected, the eye having been on him (and he of course made his argue the call), the 1/6th chance was too high and in retrospect it might have been a mistake to foul. I was hoping to even the player count though, because of the knockouts, and I judged it unlikely I would score on my goblin fling at any event. Even so, I think going for the score would have been the right move.
Ultimately, it was his luck with blocks (or my lack thereof, not sure which), combined with terrible KO results. Buskopanz is a capable coach, but the reality is that my team should overmatch his, and out of ten games, I should win at least seven, by the numbers.

I actually threw 11% more blocks than you did (67 to 60), neither of us had to use our apothocaries because the number of injuries were so low. You actually do outnumber me in Mighty Blow, but have less strength and less block. The reality is I blocked more and with better people, I was just not as fortunate. ”
