It was a really good game. My high elves only had 10 players form the start and I didn't really know how to play this game against 15 khemrian with a lot of DPs. first half went pretty well, the elves were kicking på but managed to prevent Alf115 from scoring and only got 2 BHs against them.
the second half the elves recieved and tried for a fast score, but nuffle wanted it the other way around. I need a 2+, 3+ and 2+ to socre with one rr, but used the RR on the first 2+ and failed the 3+, then my players were bigh time out of position and the khemrians manage to do one kill and two bhs in their turn, but game me a chance to score in turn 3, that I failed again with a snake eyes on a dodge and I was down to 4 players at this point and never had any chance to turn the game around anymore.
Grats once more and good luck in your next round. You didn't pull of any brilliant plays, but enough to win.
See ya around for a rematch at some point.

I was happily surprised to be paired up with 10 High Elves (and was looking at my 2 tacklers preciously). Then, I checked my opponent CR. Yeeeekkkes. CR 177 and a #29 rank amongst all fumbblers. Man, I thought I was doomed. I know my bloodbowl skills are far from excellent, but I do consider myself an okay coach who minimizes mistakes, or at least tries to. Playing with Khemris vs fast agile elves, that was even more of that during the coach pregame speech.
Elves played an uber great 1st defensive half after we got to receive the first ball and deliver the first blood. We failed to score in first half and thought we were on the losing side.
We still managed to do an okay defense and prevented the elves to go too depp on our territor yand man marked all of them. Then, he failed the 3+ passing TD (see Bill's post). After that, Bill got a second chance that got snakified. We then, proceeded on picking up the ball (yar !) and just moved slowly towards the High Elves endzone.
Hurray !
PS : that game alone provided me a nearly 2 points boost on my lousy CR score ;)
