The game started disasterously for me. A perfect defense, inconvenient ball scatter, and failed dodge-RR-dodge gave Le Yana an easy and quick score. Even though I was receiving, it was 0-1 by turn 2. After that, I was playing from behind the entire time, and I never catch up.

Dice wise, aside from that first turn debacle, things were on the whole satisfactory. Pretty much the only area where I under performed was in blocks, where I was rarely able to score knockdowns. The very last block of the game was illustrative, where with 6 dice and tackle I couldn't fell a blodger. La Yena suffered a few noteable dice reversals, particularly in his attempt to stop my last score. I failed to notice one of his players, and he dodged away from my tackler withoug issue, but then later fell down.

Possibly without the first half disaster, the game might have been a 2-2 tie. But La Yena is clearly a superior wood elf coach, and I myself haven't really made the proper mental transition from fighting teams to scoring, so it's possible that there was no way I'd win in any event. ”
