“2 elves niggled on my side vs two orcs running late for the match.
Kurre started with a slow offense, testing the Leafrippers defense on weak spots. some hard blows sent some elves into the injury box during the first turns. The Leafrippers decided to draw back slowly, hitting back here and there, and wait for the orc thrower to make the first step into offense. Trusting in 3 members of the team with pass block to snap on him if he would be keen enough to try a pass in the ravaging blizzard.
The tactical poker succeeded and Sturm Windsword was able to intercept the desperate pass after a rush on the lonely Big Gulp.
The 'AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs' were not able to score in the ending of the first half.
Kurre showed his coaching skills in the second half, profiting of two perfect defenses.
A fumbled (quick-) pass that would have given the Leafrippers the 2-0 gave the orcs the opportunity to turn the match and tie to 1-1 instead.
The following offense move was obsolete after the pickuproll failed and left one lonely elf in a quite desperate position, next to the ball facing the entire orcish defense... alone.
All efforts to stop the drive were futile, as Britt showed the fans why he is the emerging star of the AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs and blitzed the last elven defense player into the snowcrusted battlefield rushing to victory while the whistle finishes the match.
cheers to Kurre. someday we'll do a rematch and hopefully you won't have 7x% on your dicerolls again..:)”
As usual i made several newbie mistakes (i.e. ive soon played over 200 games and i still had no idea we played in a blizzard), but my opponents severe lack of luck saved my day.
In this game Fangorn Leafrippers Base Are Belong To Us.
Looking forward to the rematch.
