A small crowd of a few thousand turned out in the blizzard conditions to see if the Bards had what it took to silence their critics by sealing a win over another Elf team, however despite the crowds ethusiasm for their team (got the ref both halves) it was not to be.

A bloody struggle was fought for every play of the ball and the casualty report started to climb. Violent Desire leading with a string of batterings onto the head of the Bards.

To the delight of the Dark Elf crowd the Bards were delt a terrible blow with the killing of team captain "Miguel Cervantes" who had shown such talent and promise in his last game, leading them to a surprise win over the Whirlwinds.

Further missery came as medical reports confirmed "Victor Von Hugo" has had his neck broke - seriously limiting his furture star promise.

This late win sets the Dark Elves up well for their next game, but with numbers still down and the team carring some long term injuries, will they limp out of this league ready for the cup knockouts or be hammered flat.

No easy games remain but it finally seems like Violent Desire have found some form. If they could just find somemore players!

#1 Miguél Cervantés – Dead (RIP)
#4 Victor Von Hugo – Broken Neck (-AG)
What an upset for the Bards. After such a great previous game, they were brought down to earth with a sicking crunch.

The first half seen the dark elves push deeper and deeper into the Bard's half, with the humans fighting every inch of the way. However, the humans were not prepared for the sheer malice of their opponents, who gleafully snapped Von Hugo's neck, and murdered team hero and captain Cervantés. To make matters worse, inspection of the dashing corpse of Cervantés revealed a limited eddition signed "Miguél Cervantés" stilleto pen protruding from his heart. The Princes of Pain have shown that the best way to a mans heart is not through the stomach, but with 4 inches of steel just below the breast bone.

The Bards tried to rally after such an upset, with V' irg 'l badly hurting two darkeleves, but it was no use. Not even the fans enthusastic lynching of two referees could help the bards, and the team left the pitch carrying their pride in tatters at their 3-0 defeate against a team whose empathy towards their opponents was colder than the blizzard they played in.

Surpisingly though the Bard offical fan club grows in membership, despite such a loss, but analysists believe that the increase in fans is due to the use and efficient "product placement" of the free stilleto pens, as so effectively advertised in-match by the Dark Elf team.
