Nothing seems to help our team right itself like the Ogres of Giga Uruk-hai. Last season we inflicted 5 RIPs and showed them their place...however, this season things were different. We only had 11 players and were struggling with the loss of our team captain and leader (and only remaining tackler). With the future looking bleak...Giga Uruk-hai came to the rescue.
It took all of 1 turn to realize that the two teams picked right up from last season. Anika Twoblade quickly badly hurt a block ogre, but a foul caused one of players to be ejected - no dp and down to 10 players. The ogres first block was a niggling injury on a blitzer (saved by apoth)...but then we asserted control (somehow). Anika went on a rampage, Asher helped out, goblins tripped and fell, shadowing was fun...the first half ended 1-1...and blood was flowing - but not enough. With the ogres using their apoth on a RIP against an ogre...it was a T8 foul to break another jaw...then the crowd got the ref for the second half and the blood just would not stop flowing - a few double skulls and failed pickups added to the humor...but when the dust cleared...it was the ogre team that once again lay decimated. However, with 90k in gate winnings, that more than covers the perm injuries - so Giga Uruk-hai will continue to be competitive!

Good luck and thanks for the game!”
