The Rhinos take on orcs with a slight TR/TS advantage and some nice +MA blitzers (fortunately one is missing for the game). We have 12 players vs 14, should be a tough game! Our handicap is doom & gloom so their 3 rerolls are reduced to 1 for the first half.

They roll up a blitz to start the game, letting them move practically their whole team up to the LOS, ruining our planned first turn of blocks. This means they are able to push through near the ball where our rookie centaur is having trouble picking it up- we drag back a few players and over the course of a few turns we are able to isolate the ball and grab it with the centaur at last. By now they've used their RR and we are down to 1 so we are able to rush upfield when they give us a turnover on double skulls.

However they manage to GFI twice with their troll to just catch up with him, leaving us in a conundrum- we decide to try and dodge out with a RR but fail. On their next turn they are able to get the troll to stand over the ball so we go for a -2d blitz which sees a both down seriously injuring the centaur (apo fail). Ouch!! Not a nice way to end the half!!

We set up 9 for the 2nd half vs a full set of orcs with their 3 rerolls back, this looks nasty!

They grab the ball on the sideline and we do our best to pressure them, but their blocks are putting the pain in with so few of our team to defend, we see a dwarf BH and another niggled, while our remaining centaur is fouled to the KO box (though their DP is thankfully sent off). They MNG another hobgoblin and we're soon down to just 3 players with no hope of stopping them. Meanwhile the orcs start fouling every turn to make sure we cannot come back. We try our best, managing to knock down the ball carrier once with some superb blitzing, but we cannot stop them recovering and scoring on their last turn.

We have one turn left and our (unused so far this half) DP wakes up from the KO box- lets try and cause a little damage! A block seriously injures a lineman, hooray! But our gang foul can only stun.. boo!

Good game iena and well won, though will be painful for our next match :)
