“A total rape job, but a fun one. The Guardians have been doing it tough with recent injuries and aging and took on this match that they knew they would lose as the Circus almost had as many fans as they did.
The proxy name of the game was 'losebigformoney'. How prophetic, as I got trounced, but rolled the crucial 6 for money to get my 40K and enough money for a new Lineman. Heck, I would happily take a 0-12 loss for 40K at the moment!
The game was a total farce though as I rolled Double Skulls and Double 1s over and over, and got blitzed twice in the first half. My opponent made all his rolls heh. My luck rating soared however, as I managed a few dodges in a row (to no avail of course since I was so outnumbered and he had two Str 4 Tackle guys).
My two TDs for the match both required a lot of lucky rolls, eg 4+ catch in two tackle zones, then 3+ dodge, then 2+ dodge, then another 2+ dodge, a GFI then a 5+ Long Bomb.
But the first half rolls decided the game well and truly thanks to the two blitzes, getting two plaers injured and my double 1s both times I was in the midst of setting up a score.
I don't think I have ever ever been so badly raped before, but it was the most enjoyable violation of luck thanks to only the SI MNG, and the 40K. Yeah, my team is a bit of a whore at the moment, will take it up the backside for some money to rebuild.
Any teams out there with a lot of FF and not much hitting skills want to trounce me? Apply here heheh.”

The first half was indeed unlucky for the Guardians, and double one at the beginning of the game allowed me to take an early 2-0 lead. However, the deciding factor were the two blitzes, which allowed me to take a convincing 5-0 lead by halftime.
The second half was a lot more even, even though the Guardians were seriously underhanded. I managed to stop the Guardians' offence only once this half, although both their TDs required quite high rolls. The second half ended 3-2, for a total score of 8-2.
