I did not see myself even achieving a tie when I saw the draw. An amazon team where all players except one were blodgers against my ogres without a single tackler. When a Virus caught 2 of my goblins before the start it looked even more bleak. But for once the Ogreville Food Patrol got their act together and had luck on their side!

A failed GFI eating up a re-roll followed by a risky and failed pass in the 2nd round was what ultimately decided the match. A succesful pickup and a TTM landed Gibb Stewstirra near the end zone line, and despite being tackled down by opponents in the following round the ogres managed to cut off most of the pursuers and the goblins could reclaim the ball, allowing Yuk-Glugg to sprint in 1-0 in T4.

Both teams wasted one round each on early turnover block failures, which worked in Ogreville's favor since time was running out to tie the match before the half break. A demoralizing injury when the evil Bleegil smashed a downed blodger's hand to a pulp and the apothecary failed to save it didn't make matters better for the Tummy Aches. The OFP managed to defend their lead!

Throughout the match the ogres has a very high clean hit rate. What luck gabeln had he spent on not getting injuries, but he did get a heavy amount of KO's and in the 2nd half there were 9 OFP players against 7 amazons, and the OFP started with the ball!

Poor blocking and a couple of boneheads made the amazons pour through the LOS and after Bleegil who held the ball deep in his own zone. Through sneaky tactics and some luck the goblins managed to transport the ball through the opponents though, aided by the ogres cutting the amazons off from pursuing. A failed TTM attempt lead to an injury on Juirkk, but Bleegil snapped up the ball and managed to score 2-0.

With 3 turns left for a comfort TD for the opponents the Ogreville Food Patrol achieved a perfect defense on the kick off. Quite an impressive maneuver when coaching ogres. The amazons got caught up being forced to 1d block on the LOS until time ran out.

A very important victory for the OFP, who had built up quite a losing streak. They now walk into the next match with renewed confidence and a brand new shiny re-roll!

Thanks for the match, gabeln! It was a lot of fun!
