“Having just played a hard-fought draw against flix's wood elves with my rookie humans he's now been drawn against our goblin maniacs! There are 10 woodies but they get 3 handicaps: doom n gloom, duh where am I (boneheaded chainsaw), and illegal drugs for a super-wardancer.

As we have to kick we leave the chainsaw on the bench in case they score before it gets going. We defend fairly well, charging our str 3 gobbo right into their cage to 2d block and knock down their catcher at one point; but excellent chain pushing lets them move all the goblins out of the way of the ball and recover it to score on turn 4. However a lineelf who tried to dodge past one of our trolls has been killed! (apo fail)

We try our best to score but great blitz action from the elves sees them more likely to seize the ball for a while. Eventually we grab it and run upfield but a last turn blitz knocks over our gobbo so we have to content ourselves with some wood elf punching- a goblin managing to niggle their block lineelf!

They set up 7 vs 11 (chainsaw banned though) for the 2nd half and we're 1-0 down. But then they kick the ball to right by our endzone just as they roll up a BLITZ! They run their wardancer and catcher through and we try our best to mark them but it's not enough and the wardancer dodges away to get the ball and make it 2-0!

We set up again, ready to... BLITZ!! What the?! This time the ball's going to land on our DP by the line of scrimmage so they blitz their wardancer through to stand by him.. but he still makes the catch! We then KILL a lineman with a troll, and rush forward to score by turn 5 after getting rid of another couple of elves. Just 4 line up versus 11 for the final turns... PITCH INVASION! They grab the ball but then an elf dodges away from a troll, niggling himself! We run upfield, and foul the prone wardancer into the KO box. There's only a lineman and the catcher with the ball left but they have both run upfield and thrown the ball to by our endzone. We run backwards, marking them both and a gobbo goes for the ball.. GFI.. GFI..SLIP- he's DEAD!! Was that a landmine on the pitch? Probably planted there by the gobbos to be honest!

When the wood elf catcher slips up on his dodge towards the ball we have a (slight) chance. We knock over their lineelf, then grab the ball with a gobbo, quick pass it to another gobbo who sprints upfield to our waiting 3rd gobbo who catches the handoff (RR used here) and then GFI's twice to score the equalising touchdown! What a play!

Great game Flix, a bloody mess for both sides, though I think you can safely say you were robbed of your victory in the last seconds once again :D
