Teldan Greatmaine had got the Kings off to a great start by scoring the opening touchdown in the 3 turn, but he was carried off in the following play, suffering from a dead leg. The High Elves defended their line well up to half-time, but the defending had taken its toll as only 7 players could take the field for the second half.
It didn't take long for the Lords to make the numbers count as the ran home an equaliser.
As the teams restarted the Ellyrian Kings tried to make a quick burst to the line, but a failed catch allowed the Chaos hord to turn the ball over and make a quick drive of their own.
As the lone Beastman, Gor Elfsbane, made his run down the wing he was tackled by Talon Dragonheart sending the ball high into the High Elf crowd. This would become the luckiest moment for a young Landrel Youngelk as threw the ball back on to the otherside of the pitch, right at the feet of Lucien Swift. Grabbing the ball Lucien made a dash to the corner, defended by Illon Lionheart and Elinyth Dragonwing.
The Lords made a last ditch tackle on Lucien with Eam Head-Taker, knock him to the ground and spilling the ball from his grasp. Unfased Dragonwing dodge away from his marker and raced over the line. Lucien picked himself up, dodged away from Head-Taker, Grabbed the ball and through his pass to Dragonwing to catch and score the winning TOUCHDOWN!
After the game Lanrel Youngelk was quickly drafted to the roster as a Phoenix Warrior and takes his place along side Xavi Croxier.”
