“Good game Axe! :)

The game started badly, with me dropping out several times in the first three or four turns. However, after that it settled down. However, this caused us a slight problem.... I stole the ball on defence, then dropped out. On reload everything seemed fine. I ran the ball in, only to then realise that as well as the ball in one players hands, it was ALSO still lying on the ground, and the game didn't go to set up once more!!

AxeMurder deliberately stood away from the one on the ground to let me run it in, getting us back to setting up.... but with the score displaying 0-2, and with one less turn for a counter-attack than there should be.

However, Axe proved plenty capable & got the ball downfield. I only had a 1DB opportunity which I failed to use and the TD should have been his. However a simple 3+ with RR to get the right players the SPP's failed, leaving the game 0-1 at half time (diplayed 0-2)

Second half saw me rush forward, totally failing to notice the STR 4 & Tackle on the lino at the back so feelng safe enough with my blodger on the ball. A mad scrambl followed, with me edging slowly up the pitch each turn, before getting flattened again. However, eventually a non-tackler was the only one able to blitz, leaving my Blodger standing after 2db rerolled didn't give a pow. 0-2 (shown 0-3)

A LOS war developed for the next couple of turns, leaving me having caused one casualty. With Axe effortlessly breaking through one of my flanks I chose to abandon chase & set about gang-fouling in the hopes of a second CAS. However, we both appeared unable to cause any damage at all! :(

In my final turn my handicap kept one of my guys on the pitch after a failed IGMEOY roll. Axe walked it in for a final result of 1-2 (shown 1-3)

Cheers for the game, should have been a draw I guess, but for the glitch & one horribly unlucky handoff.”
