“Warpstone Open IV, Qualifier IX, final

Didn't expect to get in the final, but now I was there I kinda had high hopes to win it.

But started the game all wrong and from then on I wasn't really in it. Blitzed accidently with my DP (1d) on first turn, so no foul there and my DP got kicked off. Think it could have changed the game if I hadn't screwed up.

Then we both had some chances, but I made some stupid mistakes combined with the dice vampires can't use. Wasn't really bad luck, but couldn't take the chances I had. Then the wizard just ran off with my money. Fireball didn't knock anyone down and I guess that was the game. Well, compensation for my last three games probably. :)

Second half I got the ball with 0-0. 10 guys versus 10 so could be close. But soon I was undermanned and I had to try something. Passed the ball and forgot about the pass block ... Failed and the CD took the ball. Should have done two gfi's and a hand off but would have failed anyway ... The bull went down on a snake eyes, but I didn't have enough guys and good enough dice to take advantage of it. Lost 0-1.

Final wasn't bad, but we will try better next time ...
