“Burlesque Beastman Brawl
The opening game of this beastman only league for Horns of Anubis. We have 3 rerolls while they have 2 and an apo. Any early player loss on our side could be painful.

We elect to kick. They attack excellently, keeping the ball deep until we rush players through, then switching to one side and passing it right by our noses. They have a beastman through with the ball by our endzone and start stalling down the clock - their troll badly hurting one of our beastmen to make things worse. We rush players back and eventually we're able to dodge and double GFI a blitz to knock him over! The next turn we KILL a beastman and their apo fails spectactularly. But we can't get the ball and they recover it to score on turn 7! 1-0 to the wet ones!

We have two turns and swarm up one side to go for the quick equaliser- almost everything going right until the very last GFI when our beastman trips on his way into the endzone!!

1-0 and we are receiving with 10 vs 10 for the 2nd half. We start well, seriously injuring a beasty and KO'ing another on turn 1. On the following turn we BH another and get the ball right through to score on turn 3. Their KO stays asleep so it's 10 vs just 7 now.

And our superstar beast gets a 3rd casualty for a skillup, niggling another beastman! They run forwards and try and throw the ball upfield, but with no rerolls they can't do it. We secure the ball, badly hurt yet another beasty and rush upfield -just managing to score in our final turn of the game to secure the win!

Our beast and team captain Anubis scored 3 casualties with just 10 blocks, earning them a skill. With the league's special skill rules we go for multiple block so a beastman can later take guard.”
