“It had been a while since Kondor had taken the time to contemplate a match. Indeed, this was one that merited reflection. After complimenting Coach corporate on a well played match, Kondor returned to the locker room to reflect. Truly, this was a match that Kondor felt he should at least have tied.
The ladies leveled block after block and sent rats flying in all directions. But almost without fail they continued to stand again and again. In the end, that was the undoing of the Betties. They simply could not get the rats off the pitch, and with their speed, they could not open a sufficient hole to dash for the endzone. This is despite the fact that they forced a turn over early in the first half, and spent the entire half bashing.
A combination of good coaching and orc like armor caused this loss.

A hard fought match all around, won only in the dying seconds as Missing In Action proved true to his namesake and squirmed out of a highly dangerous but ultimately unavoidable cluster right on the sidelines, to make a swift hand off to Greased Weasel for the last second touchdown.
That sidelines business could have gotten ugly for both sides, but ultimately desperation to recover the ball overpowered desire to set up crowdpushes...though if the half had been one turn longer, I suspect a lot of rats and zons alike would have been signing autographs!
