“In one of the most brutal games ever seen in WIBBL if not THE most brutal, the Dark Elves of Freshwater claimed victory over the Ryde Rotters in the inaugeral Wooden Spoon Final.

The Furies recived first and made quick work of the Ryde LOS and getting the ball collected and run upfield just past the LOS. A foul on a beastman saw a death in T1. Ryde responded by using the BoN to blitz and Pile On to his victim, but the Furies retaliated by isolating the slobbery, blubbery, pox-ridden form of teh BoN and fouled him for a BH which he regened from. The Ref saw the foul, but when Coach Russo challanged it teh Ref realised he was taking to a knee-capping nutter and reversed his sending off decision.

The Furies then proceded to push up field and had killed another beastamn from a block prior to scoring.

Ryde then recieved but were unable to score promptly and the half time whistle was blown. 1-0 Freshwater.

In the second half Ryde tried to block with the BoN and again left him islolated but at least standing this time. The crafty Vinnie "Buttercup" Green hefted his boot once more after a blitz by the Furies star players and he promptly BH'd the BoN again, this time though the beast stayed off the pitch!!

From there on in it looked like Ryde would collapse, but a fortunate blitz and pick-up saw them score an equaliser.

The Ryde set-up was now down to 6 players and no BoN either. The Furies swamped them and ran Harriot "Harlot" Hepworth upfield to recieve the ball for her second TD of the game and the winner in T16.

The Furies win the WIBBL Wooden Spoon!!
