Sorry in advance for my bad English.

I think I lost the game by my own fault.

The first half began pretty lucky for me, badly hurting a warrior and a beastman,
seriously injured a beastman and the troll who regenerated and killed the fan favourite Dirty Harry just as his Star Player Eye of the Storm (The apo saved his life after a dirty foul).
Nuffle gave me the Mighty Blow Power for this game and I was sure to win, but there was one player who got Nuffles full power.
I had a lot of lucky dices regarding armour and injury rolls, but this one player was not afraid of my blood-lusting orcs.
Qonquer who was the real most valuable player of the match could stop my touchdown with only 3 team mates in Chaos turn 5 of the first half.

Eye of the Storm dodged out of Gohams Tackle Zone with a 4+, 3+, blitzed my Ball Carrier Billy Gun with 2d who went down next to the crowd.
Billy could not manage to hold the ball on the pitch. A fan, supporting Vinvo Vini Victum, who catched the ball threw it next to Conquers and Matson who were still fighting. Conquer smelled his chance, dodged out (2+) and picked up the ball (3+) , dodged again (2+) and threw the ball into my half.

My player were too far away to make a sure Touchdown after that and at least Billy Gun failed the 2+ pickup at turn 8.

The game wasnt lost for me at the beginning of the second half because i was still 2 men in advance.
Even after my troll was k.o.ed I was confident to win.
After some good tactical moves of chainsaw, a failed Stupid Roll of his Troll gave the orcs the chance to get the ball.
Surrounded by agile beastmen my ball carrying blitzer saw no other chance as a pass to Jilly Jogho.
Maybe Jilly was too nervous, knowing that it was a deciding catch, otherwise i cant explain why he failed the catch.

The rest of the story can be read at chainsaws report.

The Touchdown could have been stopped if i hadnt made two big mistakes:

First one was the positioning of Moses at turn 6. Instead of going left to Goham i should have moved him one square above.
A3+ dodge before big hand pick-up would have been 5+ dodge.
That was something i should have known before...

The Second mistake was the positioning of Goham at turn 7.
After his dodge-blitz against Conquer i should have used my second gfi to move one squard left. It would have been a chance to fail (no more rerolls that turn) but it would have decreased the probability of Conquer to score.
The Mathematical reason:
(5/6) for the GFI of Goham ( 3+ (33% Dodge) 3+ (33% Pickup) 3+ ( 33% dodge) 2+³ ( 17%³) for a dodge and 2 sprints: makes a value of 13,6 for me
without the GFI of goham (thats how it was):
3+ (33%Dodge) * 3+ (33% Pickup) * 2+³ (17%³) for dodge and two sprints:
makes a value of 24,9 for me.
Means with a riskt of 5:1 i could have nearly halfed the chance of Conquer to score.

Next time I will be better I hope!
Good luck at the Final and see you soon for a rematch!

#10 Silence – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#10 Silence – Broken Neck (-AG)
#13 Dirty Harry – Dead (RIP)
This was a great victory against one of two teams I really feared in the SMACK competition (the other team being the orcs that KingRoyale beat in the previous round). News that black orc D.A. Goham had gained extra strength as his 5th skill gained from the previous game was hardly welcome. I hired Nobbla and a confident KingRoyale declined to pay the goblin to not play, deciding the match would be more fun with him on the field.

I was right to fear these guys who, with the help of some savage rolling, beat the living crap out of my team. Star player Conquer would be killed and put back together by an apothecary. Fan favourite and rather lame player Dirty Harry got crushed to death. I finished the first half with only 2 active players. TWO! Despite this, with Nobbla distracting the offense to the point of leaving paths to the ball carrier, I managed to cause enough of a problem to prevent KingRoyale scoring. With the offensive side spread around beleaguered chaos defenders, a patched-up Conquer slipped in to steal a loose ball and punt it to safety. Troll Pritchard spent most of the first half feeling rather stupid until he got kicked really hard in the head, although he regenerated from his serious injury.

I began my own drive with a solitary chaos warrior, the others injured or knocked out, and just 9 players. The troll returned, which didn't exactly fill me with confidence on recent form. However, the kick to the head must have annoyed him, he was pretty decent and a large reason why I was able to score.

First things first, even up the numbers, a foul on his troll and KingRoyale was down to 10 players. Then, in perhaps the best tactics I have ever displayed on a Blood Bowl pitch, I pulled the defense from flank to flank, keeping KingRoyale guessing as to where the break was going to come. When it did come, however, I made the mistake of trying to move the troll from a useful position to an ideal one, he got confused, leaving a troll-sized hole in the offensive cover. All the pows that were rolled all match did not dry up and the ball broke free. There was only one player who was in position to keep the game alive, Pritchard. The fans groaned in the expectation of him doing nothing, but he had other ideas. The troll stormed in and smashed into the ball carrier! The crowd roared its approval! The game was back on.

Still the orcs were in control. Pritchard got overpowered, promising player Silence got his career cut short, and the ball got scooped up by an agile blitzer, but the catch dropped. Romulus used his big mit to scoop it out and hand off to Conquer, who dashed away down the line. With the defensive line stretched by the offensive tactics, only a D.A. Goham dodge and blitz could stop him. The black orc dodged, smashed over Conquer, and the ball settled next to him. With time running out, it was a reroll-less dodge, pick up from under the black orc, dodge, and double go-for-it to score. Conquer is a star player, and he made it, and we won.

The loss of Dirty Harry has seen an exodus of fans who were following the team specifically for him, sort of a one-man freak show, explaining the loss of fans despite the brilliant nature of the victory. It was a total Nuffling in the first half, making the second half performance incredible. Good fun, and may we meet again.
