This game got off to a great start for VVV as a Sabretooth foul took out highly rated Gruur. I made the most of it, rolling a cage down the line and generally beating up orcs in the process. In particular, Pritchard the troll was exceptional as he battered his opponents on the scrimmage line.

The second half opened in similar fashion. After a ball handling error by thrower Guugdish, legend Komog was brought down and surrounded by beastman. Once again Sabretooth executed a superb foul and ended the career of one of the great black orc blockers.

Just when it looked like Teef Rippas were up against it, things started to go less well for VVV. Firstly, out of position after jumping on Komog, the orcs ran for the opposite flank and slipped past comfortably. Pritchard started to wonder where he was, confused by people running all around him, and the team couldn't get back.

The final drive just didn't go so well. Coach Chainsaw had apparently been playing a drinking game where he would drink whenever an orc goes down injured, and his drinking buddy when a chaos player hobbles off. His pal was a drunk and they both were pretty sure this match was suicidal for VVV. As it transpired, they weren't just winning, but causing damage in the process. A merry Coach Chainsaw babbled some incoherent instructions, and the baffled players ran into a green wall and had little way out of it.

A draw was snatched from the jaws of victory. Still, we retired Komog. =)

#4 Komog – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#4 Komog – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
Coach MadTias watched grimly as Vinco Vici Victum blitzed Komog down and started moving players in for a gang-foul. He closed his eyes as the DP came running and heard the familiar "kerrr-unch!" of a SI.

Da Teef Rippas' apothecary picked up his medical kit and was just on his way to enter the pitch when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "No", said coach MadTias. "But coach, it's Komog! Our greatest! The best Orc blocker of ALL TIME!". "I know", said coach MadTias. "He has played like no Black Orc has ever played before him. He is truly the greatest. But he's getting old. His brightly shining star forces us to play harder and harder matches. His time to retire has come." "But coach...", tried the apothecary. But coach MadTias was firm. "Komog understands", he said. "Tonight we will drink to his honor and his retirement. For now, stay prepared, the match isn't over yet".

And so Komog was carried off the pitch one final time. Here's to you, you big beautiful lug of pixels.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

GG Chainsaw, see you around.
