Luck meter out due to 3 disconnects (none were at inopportune times for either player).
--------
A closely fought tactical match. The Guardians were without two players due to niggles, one being Wardancer Caladriel Stormbringer (138 SPP) and then a third player was mistakenly arrested before the game (handicap result - It Wasn't Me) to leave them with 11 for the match.

The Horde started with the ball and advanced slowly, and did not try to score despite some good chances. Instead, they tried to play the Dump Off game. This almost turned to disaster for the Horde when the ball carrier was hit and the ball scattered free and the Guardians were in a position to recover the ball and send it deep into Horde territory for an unstoppable score. However, the Guardians failed their dodge and did not pick up the ball (damn snake-eyes!!!).

The Horde recovered the ball and scored before they lost the ball again.

The Guardians started in offence, and an unlucky dodge (yep, snake-eyes!) left them exposed before they got into a good offensive situation. The Horde attacked the ball, but also had some bad luck (tripple skulls on a blitz, followed by a 1 to pick up the ball).

This allowed the Guardians to recover and level the scores just before the half time buzzer though the Horde placed a surprising amount of pressure on the Guardians (I did not see the gap I had left for him to dodge 4 players through one by one LOL).

In the second half, the Guardians scored relatively quickly then attacked the Horde in defence, trying to force the mistake again. The Horde almost lost the ball when they failed to catch a (3+) hand off but the ball bounced around back onto the player who originally failed the catch!

The Guardians then swarmed the Horde to make a Dump Off catch difficult, and attacked the ball carrier. The pass was picked off (AG5 Pass Blocker with Catch) and the ball ran out to a waiting recieiver in the Horde's backfield and the Guardians won the match 3-1.
---------
A very tactical match. I was surprised my opponent wanted to slow the game up so much considering I had only 10 FF (Bad Press) to his 17 and Pitch Invasions, Throw Rocks, Kill the Ref etc would all be to his advantage.

The slow pace suited me as I didn't want a stack of SPP and was happy with a draw as long as I got no injuries and some money, and I certainly did not want a pitch invasion!

A great outcome for the Guardians overall with 40K and no aging, though Kelthanus Thundercall is fast approaching Legend status and a likely second niggle.
