“Our gobbos had their new troll niggled last game and continue their down in numbers run. We have just 10 for this game and just 1 troll. We're up against gabeln's new dark elves: 11 linemen + an apo. No block OR tackle- sweet!

They do however get 2 handicaps, landing them it wasn't me (removes a gobbo) and illegal drugs giving one of their elves +STR.

We're down to 9 players before kick off, so we really need to remove some dark elves here!

Fortunately our first turn is good with Dat's Me throwing his first multiblock on the LOS and getting a MNG! We then gang foul another elf for a KO. 9v9! But they then KO a gobbo to get ahead in numbers straight away.

We are weaving back and forth trying to find a way through, until on turn 4 they are able to dodge and blitz over our gobbo with the ball. It then gets a bit frantic as we try hard to stop them scoring, in the end relying mostly on their lack of rerolls.

The half ends and 3/4 of our KOs wake up vs 0/2 of theirs so it's 8v8 for the second half. Come on! We try hard, crowding in as they run up one sideline with the ball, using stunty dodges to the extreme and managing to knock over the ball carrier twice - and both times another elf catches the ball on the bounce! Eventually they handoff backwards, dodge around, and pass for the touchdown.

We've just 7 vs 9 now but we quickly badly hurt one of them with a DP foul and put the ballcarrier beside our troll. We go for a TTM touchdown but Dat's Me decides he's peckish and tries to eat our gobbo! Fortunately he gets stuck in his gullet and is consequently spat out! The dark elves seize the ball and run it downfield for another touchdown to our dismay.

We spend the last few turns trying for another TTM attempt but it comes to nothing.

Well won gabeln. At least for the first time in I don't know how many games we didn't get a permanent injury or death!!”
