“Eagerly anticapted game that took awhile to schedule saw the Watchmen play Deadly Laughter in front of 66,000 crowd during a fine day for Bloodbowl.

The kickoff started with get the ref for both teams it seemed destined for a dirty game, however neither team chose to use it. The usual exchange of blocks in the first 2 turns was followed by a good handoff from Tony Hancock to Spike Milligan to have the space for a run to the end zone. His pace and that most of the watchmen were tied down meant they were unable to stop him for the first touch down on turn 4.

Another get the ref roll followed for the Watchman and they began positioning to the led by Sally Juniper and Night Owl their 2 agilty 4 players twice they made a dash to Deadly goal line only to be stopped by successful blitz by Tommy Cooper who finally managed to dodge away with the ball and on T8 fumbled his throw to Spike for a break away TD and the game stayed 1-0 at halftime.

The 2nd half the Watchmen came desperately close to equalizing, desperate defending was needed as at one point with Dollar Bill inches from the touchline and with the Watchmen having more players on the bottom left side looked likely to score. It took a lot of lucky blocks to achieve a good position to blitz by Tommy Cooper and save the TD, even then a successful blitz pow from Dollar bill would hv mean an equalizer however he could only get a push back and by that time Deadly were able to position there men to support Tommy Cooper and he eventually was able to run down the line for the second TD on T6

Then came more bad luck for Watchmen as 2 successive blitz were rolled on kickoff. The first blitz allowed good positioning and on T7 let Dudley Moore pick himself off the ground and successfully pickup the ball beside Dollar Bill and dodge and GFI to score.

Certainly i had the additional lucky with some of the crucial blocks and blitz that allowed me to stop Shane during his few surge for goal, i just hope i havent used it all up for this game.

2 votes to Dollar Bill - Valient effort in almost getting the equalizing TD with a bit more luck he would have scored. But his safe hands and good passing gave him 2 completions as well.


1 vote to Dr Manhattan - He guard was a thorn in my side and despite me blocking him hit after hit he didnt get knocked out or injured and in fact cause one to mine instead.
