“Always fun playing Mossbeard. His FTG project means he plays some less common matchups, though since I'm new with CDs, all matchups are a little new for me.

Lets just say I pulled this one out by the skin of my teeth. I scored in T8 both halves with no rerolls left. The first half started with an efficient, brutal ogre drive up the middle that resulted in a score. My own drive was a little more hairy, with the ball being knocked loose in Ogre territory near the sidelines, recovered, and dropped again on a failed dodge to try to score in T7. Mossbeard's T8 he tried to knock down the only hobbo that could make the scoring play, but his ogre suddenly remembered it was his mum's birthday and that he needed to buy her something, and forgot to block, or to stop my hobbo, Gleigh, from grabbing the ball to tie the game 1-1.

Second half, I overloaded one side and gangfouled the Ogre's AG3 big guy, and used the spot he left as a cage to protect Zort's new Honor Guard. I wedged my way through the ogre defenses and tried to stall a bit, but I'm a noob. With a gobbo marking him, Zort's Honor Guard just needed a push to walk into the end zone, but I accidentally agreed to follow up my push. I tried the old "dodge with a rookie bull centaur" play, and that just wasn't happening.

The final few turns of the game were a comical series of failed ball pickups and failed dodges, until finally on my T16, I blocked/blitzed two guys away from the ball, and picked it up to score. Mossbeard's attempt at the TTM OTT was thwarted by having to hand off into a tackle zone, and the ball clanged to the ground.

Mossbeard gets to tick "Ogres v. CD" off his list, and I won the game. Everyone's a winner today :) Rematch any time with any FTG matchup you need, man!”
