“UI first round:
Going into the match the brave woodies promised to try there best to defeat the scary opposition even though a tough prize would most probably have to be paid. Gratch and his companions looked like professional killers. The coack hurt his back the night of the match was that an evil omen?

In the first turn the ref made clear that no fouling would be tolerated, limiting my options to get rid of gratch. But in the following turns it became obvious that gratch and compannions were in a mild mood with only a few kos. After I left my thrower in reach of a blitz by mistake, my woodies woke up and scored the first cas and passed the ball close to the endzone. Then out of nowhere lightning struck my catcher with the bounce out of reach of the evil forces of chaos. In my 6th i managed to score after a failed pick-up by the dreaded gratch. I decided to spare gratch from the crowdsurf, not wanting to risk the score.
Things were looking bright with no opposing wizard and only 3 turns to score for the forces of evil. Maybe even a 2-0 was looking possible in the first half. After the pickup, it was Iyu'unigatos moment to show his power and knock the ball loose. the scatter was not so good unfortunately with 4 tz on the ball. Then again lightning struck, but in a zigzag way so it was time for Ineluki to strip that ball. With all player out of endzone reach i thought it was a good shot to try and score for the 2-0. It failed and to make things worse we overlooked a chain push which lead to the 1-1 in the final turn of the first half.
The second half started well with me clearing the field of 2 mean tacklers. A second fould brought the cas count to 2-0 for me who would have expected that before the start of the match ;). In t4 I was able to put a lot of pressure on the ball. That pressure paid of in the next turn with a 2db against the ball carrier resulting in a niggle for the only sure hands guy. but the pick-up for the win failed again. death managed to pick the ball up for the chaos team only to be stripped by the wd again. Iyu'inugato tried to pick the free ball up but faile with a scary bounce. the cult picked up the free ball but decided to stall another turn instead of gft for the touchdown. but the troll was to stupid to close the cage. The loose ball looked like an easy pick-up for Aditu with ag5 but the dodge failed. I got one more chance to score but again the pick-up failed. So the normal time ended 1-1 with 3-2 cas for me. Defiantely not what i expected going into the match. For OT it was 1rr to 0 for the cult, i was starting with 11 against 10 players.

Cult receiving in OT but me with the lucky blitz and a good ball position. I secured the ball and was able to run it back into my half. the chaos no spurred by the death of one of there team finally began to deal out some pain themselves. So with the oneturner still on the pitch i decided to go for the score in t4. Outnumbered for the first time i was going into next run. My wd managed to strip the ball -2db and leap without reroll, nice start. But the ball landed in 3tz so i decided to cover the ball instead of picking it up.
But the cult got rid off my second wd and Iyu, leaving me with no real chance to defend against the score. So I put half of my hopes on the one turner and the other half on the coin toss. On the defense i think i spotted the first mistake of the sofar perfect coaching of Nachtogen leaving me with pick-up, pass, and 3 gft with sure feet and 2 3+ dodges and a 2+ dodge with dodge for the win. And the team finally showed that the have the nerves when it counts.
It was a very interesting match for me. With the UI qualifier being my first and the UI my second tourney. As I didnt take too much pain. I am still hoping to win the second round as well. thx for the fun match Nachtogen”
