“In this match the Rock N' Rollers truly found Nuffles blessing to be with them.
During the first half, both teams were out for blood. Unfortunately the vampires were looking for the blood of their thralls while the Dwarves were looking for the blood of the Vampires. After choosing to receive the ball, the Dwarves marched merrily down the field while Vampires and Thralls alike were sent to the sideline (several of the latter sent there by the former).
In the second half there was a standoff on the line of scrimmage while both teams waited for the other to leave an opening. The Dwarves succeeded in removing all the Vampires from play and were tightening their grip on the remaining Thralls. But as the saying goes, "The more you tighten your grasp, the more slip through your fingers". In a brilliant display of Thrall blocking and dodging two Thralls were able to break through and score the tying goal.
The Dwarves would have to settle for another tie after holding the lead for most of the game. Perhaps they need to offer more praise to Nuffle.”
Good game, good opponent. Thanks for the fun and friendly match, and for putting up with my whining :D This match was a bit rough on my nerves, but a failed dodge (with reroll) gave me the game tying score in the last turn. Too bad I had to do it with already spp laden star thrall, and lost another blocker in the process. Considering that I'd pretty much given up on a win long before though, I couldn't be more pleased.”
