#10 Andrey Arseshaven – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
Lady Luck wins the day i think, her and Steven Deadard. The only real kicker was Andrey taking a strength drop but he'll be sentanced to LOS duty until hes retired or killed. The mummy's are certainly scary as Shishaq sent two players off the pitch with bloody noses. Break and Remake were really unlucky not to score at the end of the first half as the game really should have been on draw.
Meatgrinder is an excellent opponent to play against, fast play, good chat and well played turns. Sorry about retiring your team for you :-(

#11 Thrilla – Dead (RIP)
I was destined not to win this game. Ignore the luck score, it's nonsense. My undead had their fair share of luck, to be sure, but failed at the key moments that decide a game. Plus everlasting KOs and a harsh ref when the eye was turned on my opponent for a return foul meant I was a player down on a weak no effect foul.

The Longshots rode their admirable luck (which stopped registering changes sometime in the 2nd half) with dodging and 1 dice blocks throughout the game, start to finish and only 1 block failed (skull, reroll skull) with a number of -2 dice blocks with both pows rendering my mummys meaningless.

A chance to go 1-0 up failed for me when a 2 dice block had block/pow and skull, reroll, and exactly the same result meaning no score in turn 8. 2 blitz kickoff results for the humans made things near impossible, added to the down to 6 players and opponent getting ref though to his credit he didn't use it. A failure with a block meant I couldn't put any more pressure on the ball carrier after my mummy was 1 dice powed again, meaning easy score to tie the game after I'd scored early in the 2nd. I'd considered stalling but I don't like it as a tactic and it would not have worked - the dice were leaning heavily in the humans favour and dodges/1 dice pows were sure to follow so I had to run it home.

The real killer (aside from all the other 1 dice block pows) was a late one on the ghoul which killed him outright and sentenced the team to a retirement after 1 game. No skilled players, crap cash and 10 players next game would mean I'd be stupid to do otherwise - better to start from scratch!

I long since lost any loyalty to my teams so certainly don't have any for a starting undead squad!

Well played Kamma - your placement and tactics were sound, though I'd not trust quite so much in 1 dice blocks succeeding so much ;) Fast player, chatty, doesn't take things too seriously and got just rewards - skilled blitzer, +FF, decent cash and a good start for the team, albeit with a Miss next game lineman, which is no big deal as you have the cash to replace.

Best o luck with em, for me, back to the drawing board :) Cheers!
