“Well a disappointing end to another fun major run for the swashbucklers. Harsh cas from the last game took it's toll and they looked like big underdogs going into the game.

RC opened up by not failing to break armour in his first 4 turns, which put me down to 7 players (mostly KO'd) i decided that I stood little chance of defending so short on players, so tried to get in some fouls and look to win a numbers advantage in the 2nd half. I managed to even up the numbers with some KO of my own and RC left me an easy looking (2+2+2+) 2db on the ball T6. However I snaked this allowing RC to score t7. So I had 2 turns to score before half time and managed a pretty simple drive down a flank and handoff to my ma10 catcher who scored to make it 1-1.

All 5 of RC's ko came back and 4/5 for me, so i hadn't lucked the numbers advantage i was after. However, receiving the ball at 1-1 with 11 players left looked good, even though RC still had his wizard.

A perfect defense bogged my drive down quite badly and just as I had created the room to break free I needed a 1db push to open a gap into what looked like it would give me an easy TD and possibly the chance to stall, depending on the wizard. However I double skulled this crucial block and next turn RC used his wizard to free up an already wide open ball and easily drove for the winning touchdown.

Pretty disappointed not to make the main draw 2 majors in a row, but humans are no elves when it comes to playing undermanned. Congrats on winning RC and good luck in the main event.
