Well Lycian got just about the worst handicaps possible today, but still put up a great fight. Both teams only had 2 Tacklers which made defence very difficult.

The Guardians had the luck today with some KOs and CAS to make it even harder for Lycian to defend, and they had to do a cheesy one turn TD just before half time (MA10 and 3 GFI) to level the scores.

The Guardians had a chance to knock the ball down with a 1 dice leap blitz, but came up with a skull after failing the leap.

Later, the Guardians got another 1 dice blitz on the ball carrier and knocked the ball free and recovered it. However they were greedy and tried a 3+ pass without reroll and fumbled the ball, allowing Lycian to recover the ball and score.

We probably were greedy there, as instead of passing, we could have brought in 3 players (one not in a TZ and two had Dodge) to mob up around my Sidesteep Wardancer to defend against the Strip Ball attempt (eg make it hard to get two dice, or be there to catch the ball myself etc.

Anyway, it as a fun game despite my team being much stronger in TR and TS, the three AG5 (two with leap) players on Lycian's team made defence very difficult and it really was a close match in the end as none of my TDs were easy (all required a lot of 2+ and even 3+ rolls).”
