Our 3-game lizards face Gotrek_EL_Matatrolls' 34-game vampires. We get 2 handicaps (bad press & bribe the ref) but still face a much stronger team, though fortunately their best vampire niggles out. Still, their thralls are all very skilled, including two block/tackle ones which will be our #1 target to protect our skinks!

We kick deep and think we have things covered when we knock over or mark almost all their thralls and all 3 deep receivers, while rushing skinks through to screen the lone vamp in the back. But they ignore everything, passing at distance to a vamp in a tackle zone who coolly catches and sprints out for a turn 2 TD!

They kick right into our endzone, which considerably slows our offense attempt. We get the ball but the vampires have swarmed forward and manage to blitz & steal the ball from right between our sauruses! We recover, but only briefly as the vamps superiour skills beat the hell out of us and they score again on turn 8.

The 2nd half kicks off and we're 2-0 down and haven't removed a single opposing player. Extremely bad news :/ We pick up the ball but once again the vamps just can't fail anything, rolling POWs and making dodges like it's going out of fashion. They steal the ball and make it 3-0 and a certain victory on turn 4.

At kick off we finally manage to hurt a thrall when our gang foul sees one MNG'd. But once again the vamps are all over us- we just can't compete with all that block/tackle/rerolls. We break free but a saurus falls over on a 2d block freeing up their +ma/block thrall to sprint back and sack our skink. We cover with more players but again double skulls stops our attempt to score, and now the vamps go for (and get, of course!) an unlikely series of dodges, pickups, long passes, hand offs in two tackle zones, and a final double GFI to score in the last seconds and make it 4-0!

Our worst B loss ever- well won Gotrek_EL_Matatrolls :)
