“Both teams show great luck. Both teams had pretty good luck, though mine failed a bit first half and his a bit second half.

First half, standard Orc cage tromped down the pitch, slowed for a few turns until the rat KO's mounted up. Still came within a GFI of stopping the T8 touchdown, but he made it. OTS attempt screwed up by a BLITZ! kickoff result.

Second half, both teams Get The Ref! Only the orcs have a DP though...*shudder*.

LOS blocks...gangfoul the troll at +6...fail to break AV. *facepalm*

But then things turn around a bit...instead of standard skaven 2 turner (which surely would have spelled defeat), stalled up a bit and ran around a flank to get in a couple of fouls on the orc DP, who had passed on fouling turn 1, and would not stand up to make another foul this match (2 fouls by the rats eventually put him in the KO box).

The gutters ran the ball down pitch, and swarmed around near the end zone, fending off an increasing orc presence...and getting nailed a couple of times for clean POWs in the process. In the end, Orc pressure and lack of RR led to a score turn 7.

The orcs almost pulled it off scoring in 2 turns, but a baubled handoff (1,1) at the LOS freed up Greased Lightning to snatch the ball out of a BoB TZ and punt it far enough (after the rest of the team tied up all available orc receivers) to dishearten the now RR-less orcs into simple revenge bashing for their turn 8.

In the end, the fans seem to have wanted to see more blood after they Got The Ref, and several were seen leaving the stands early, throwing away their team colors. Fickle ruffians! (It is interesting to note that while none of the early departures were seen leaving the stadium grounds, both teams celebrated the match with an unusually large BBQ later that night...)”
