I knew the match was going to be hard with only 9 dudes, but made the mistake of attempting a running game after receiving the initial kick-off. In hind sight, I should have just unleashed the 5AG guys into the back field and hoped for the best. Anyway, with dwindling numbers it became an exercise in "what improbable thing can I attempt now?" Those rats swarmed too easily. Too many GFI to count, though I don't remember failing any. Got a couple good blitzes on his Ball carriers, even when fairly well covered (Nuffle Bless 5AG!) but they never amounted to much. All in all, no perm injuries, so only real complaint was the drop in FF. GL with the Rats, was fun despite the shellacking.

Nuffle giveth, and Nuffle taketh away.

This match, Nuffle delivered. I was a bit worried about facing an elf team with only 2 gutter runners left on my roster, though I was somewhat encouraged to see they only had 9 players to field themselves. Still...with two of those 9 Guard and 4 of them (FOUR OF THEM) +AG, it wasn't going to be easy to stop them.

Or so I thought. Nuffle stopped them for me. His Dirty Player got caught on the first turn's foul, for a mere stun. Then there were eight. I KO'ed a Blodge Guarder, who pretty much slept the entire match (3 kickoffs), effectively 7. A couple of BH later, there really weren't enough elves left to put up a proper fight (he missed 5 out of 5 KO's...none came back until the last, turn 16 kickoff, when of course all 3 came back at once).

As a result, the match played out mainly as an SPP farm for the RatBox. We managed to skill up three rookie linerats, and get a second skill for our Kicker Cringe. Good winnings will allow for a third gutter runner, and almost certainly a 4th after the next match (fingers crossed, Mr. Apothecary!).

Now, some might note that I didn't really show any mercy - DP fouling when I had clear numbers advantages, attempting to crowd push whenever possible (though Nuffle's incessant POW delivery to me canceled out all but one of those attempts), etc...but I've seen what Nuffle does when you start taking it easy on an elf team, especially one flooded with +AG, and I was not about to have any of that!

All in all not too bad a match for either team I think...tons of skills and cash for me, pretty decent winnings for the elves with no injuries to speak of (though the FF drop sucks a bit).

No super awesome plays to mention, pretty mundane match where one team outnumbered the other severely the entire time, and had hot dice to top it off. The luck scores reflect the last couple of turns...they were skewed far in my favor most of the match!
