The Wild Men of the North will now forever fear us, a fear that threatens to drive them away from Middle Earth forever!
On paper everyone would assume this to be an easy encounter, but thwart with illness, infractions against the local law and weak bladders we could only match the Wild Men in numbers.
They peculiarly allowed us to receive first; no doubt they felt that they might be able to force us into an early score, but thinking was never the Wild Men’s strong point and despite suffering a couple of campaign hindering injuries we were able to hold them off to make the late score – a rather comfortable one at that.
In the second half we gave thanks to their brethren who remained in a state of unconsciousness that even despite the injuries we were able to outnumber them. We pressed our advantage and quickly rearranged our formation to test our might against theirs. Surprisingly they were up to the task and floored most of my men only for one of their numbers to then knock himself out against our fists and leave the ball carrier vulnerable.
We blitzed in and removed the ball from their grasp, but unable to reach it they recovered and tossed it down field, only to drop it. A great melee ensued and the great Northern anger raged – they beat one of my men so severely that our Apothecary had to save him twice – praise the gods!
Suddenly conscious of our mortality as the Wild Men savagely beat and kicked us we collected the ball and called for a hasty retreat to their end zone. Once again we held them at bay until the bitter end before putting them out of their misery.
Sadly, though we conquered the Wild Men they have severely hindered us going into out battle against the vilest of the vile, Maggoty Bread...

Despite going in at 100+TS the handis reduced me quickly to 8 men for the first drive, had Krytie not got 3mng blitzers I think I’d have been punished badly. As it were, we had equal numbers and his lack of guard allowed me to dominate the half... at least until he scored two cas.
During the course of the game we had a glitch when he RIP’d one of my players, the apothecary saved him twice (I’ll pay for that later) and we had to reload.
We later concluded that nuffle terminated the game to fix his RNG after the AV+Inj+Cas+Apoth rolls (6 in total) all produced a 6 (46656 to 1 odds). Fortunately the .inc reload worked perfectly (which, incidentally, is 754289 to 1 in itself) and the game continued.
Was a good and fun game, the only sad news is that Krytie may be retiring his team shortly. :(
