This first half saw the girls play a solid offensive drive. There were a couple of very close calls, as the skinks got a good surround in on the flimsy cage protecting our ball carrier. A bit of good fortune saw the girls on their merry way through to the end zone though, with a touchdown in turn 8.

Half time score: 1-0

We were unable to stop the skinks from scoring an equaliser - Simply put, once they got a move on us, they were too fast to chase down. What we did do, however, was convince them to score a little earlier than they might have, which presented us with the possibility of a second touchdown.

Looking only at what would happen with successful rolls, the girls got a little bit ahead of themselves, and when Silly Throwa saw fit to fumble the ball, the skinks took advantage of their speed and swooped in on the ball immediately. As can be seen from the scoreline, the result was a win for the skinks.

Injured Eye Likka, and proved a very dependable ball carrier. He was absolutely crucial in the final play of the match, where he collected a loose ball, withstood a blitz, and went through for a touchdown in turn 16.

Certainly laid down his share of blocks for the match, and although he was never rewarded with any cas, he certiaily played his part in the skink defence, providing tackle where it was needed most.
