Started out this game feeling that I was going to just weather the damage as best I could and let him win as I wasn't excited about being bashed by Khemri with 3 DP after facing these CDs with 3 DPs as well.

We didn't hire a wizard with our loads of cash either, expecting to buy new players and although we won the toss, our Dauntless player was Morleyed and I was unconfident of being able to handle his Str6 Bull Centaur and his other St4s.

However, luck was with me in spades during the first half, as we KOd a player early with a mass foul and my opponent kept back, allowing me to flood one side whilst keeping the ball back.

My opponent's team had a lot of +Str and Mighty Blow, but luckily for me, not very much guard, and when he was unable to knock me over regularly, I was able to use my Frenzy to push 3? players out of bounds on my drive, using RR to swap the first blocks from POW to Pushes. This got rid of one nasty CD early, causing a niggle, and also sent on Bull Centaur out for the drive.

However, the fouls from Cribbleobblepie were amazing with a BH with just 1 assist with his first hit, and only being sent off once from 5 stomps.

We were able to continue stalling until turn 8 and our luck held out when we didn't snake the TD pass or catch.

Second half the Big Hats FTW started in offence, with the Blood Falcons sole DP still KO'd. The Big Hats pushed forward and then broke for it on one side with their weaker Bull Centaur.

The Falcons had a couple of players down (that I didn't stand up first) but were win blitz range with a Dauntless player with an assist, just needed a Dodge (against no Tackle), 2 GFI, another dodge and 2 GFI, so 5x 2+s. We failed the 3rd, rerolled it, then failed the 6th. The Big Hats were too spread out to safely stall (I had players on both wings) and so they scored to take the result to 1-1.

We were fortunate with our KO and Morley's rolls, allowing us to field 11 again.

We played the same game, fouled the Troll to KO him, and waited with the ball deep on one side.

We had a chance to surf a Bull Centaur, but the Frenzy to set it up came up Double Skulls rerolled to Skull and Skull/Pow so we had to pull back and try again next turn.

We set it up again, this time being sloppy and only having one dice on the surf, and it came up Skull and luckily rerolled to Push, and then we made our pass and catch to deny Big Hats the backfield blitz with his monster Bull Centaur.

We put a player on each side of our ball carrier, and Cribbleobbepie used his Fireball, getting a great knockdown and stun (5+ rolled 2 from 3) leaving my Witch exposed to a two dice blitz by a tackler and she was brought down, with our sidestep bringing the ball to the sideline.

Big Hats fouled the Witch getting a BH, but we apothed her and she made the pick up (needed a reroll) to score the winning TD after we chainpushed the tackler away to save us having to make a dodge as well.

We were lucky to survive the final turn without any more cas and find ourselves against a bashy Khemri side we were not expecting to face without much damage to our team.

We were extremely lucky today my opponent not having much impact with his blocks, but he also didn't apply enough backfield pressure on me, allowing me to keep my Legend Thrower with the ball whilst I chewed up the turns. He also put his players in positions where I was able to surf him a few times which took a lot of pressure off my players despite them disappearing under fouls. Also lucky not to fail anything important when I rerolled my Pows to buy the surf moves, they could have easily backfired on me, so Nuffle was in my pocket today.
