“Things had been going well for the Boots, so they decided to accept a challenge from a team of Dorfs in order to really test their mettle. The bearded ones had a plenty of guard and mighty blow on their side, but with only eleven players coach Smyth thought that if he could get one or two of the midgets off the pitch with some well placed fouls the Vamps numbers would start to tell.

Nuffle, however, had other ideas. The Boots recevied in the first but a blitz from the Dorfs left a wall of steel in their path from turn one. Despite this, an opening appeared down the left flank and when the Thunders left a troll-slayer exposed the DP closed in to leave him with a nasty niggle. However, the apo came on to save him, and that was pretty much all she wrote from the Vamps. The next turn saw a number of the Boots' players carried from the field, and once behind in numbers they stood no chance, with the Dorfs scoring easily midway through the half with only four of the opposition on the pitch. The kick-off then saw a perfect defence result for the Thunders, who once again simply lined up on the LOS and spanked the lightly armoured Vamps into the dugout, securing the ball once again for another score.

The second half was a duck-shoot, outgunned all over the park, and the Dorfs ran in at the end for another easy TD after duffing up the Boots for the whole half. Even the consolation of sticking the boot in to try and get a revenge injury in the last turn was denied by another Blitz kick-off result, with the Dorfs yet again lined up en masse to taunt the hapless bloodsuckers. And Marquis Ash fumbled an easy throw to try and improve his skill set. All in all, screw you Nuffle.

Coach Smyth had no answer to coach WasabiAce in this one, but is looking forward to a rematch (once I have forgotten how much I hate Dorfs and am once again willing/stupid enough to have a crack at playing them).”
