RAWR! Fear the Skink Powah!

Handicap was Bribe the Ref, I received first.

In the first turn (or maybe two) I'd lost my Krox to a MNG and my top saurus was BH. Things were going awfully and soon I was severely out numbered. I had to quick score, on only T3.

Emph was dominating the bashing game, but anything Agility and his team fell short. The orc thrower fumbled the ball on a pass and my skinks (most of the team was skinks by that time of the game and I think I may have still had 10 or 11 players playing) grabbed the ball and made a wall. I scored again on T5.

Now I was really short on players. Emph managed to pass the ball downfield, but in came the skinks. Two for assists, one to negate an assist and one more to 2-die blitz the ball carrier...but the blitzing skink KILLED himself on the final GFI. Emph scored and we went into the half 2-1 Lizards.

I started the second half with 8 of my original 15 players. Emph BH another Saurus on T1, but his thrower failed him again (this time on a pick up.)

Skinks rushed in, made a quick wall and scooped up the ball but failed a GFI out of the throwers TZ...the ball was on the ground but not in a bad place for me. The orcs got the ball back that turn, but failed a pass and the ball was loose! Again, the skinks rushed in but the ball was too slippery and still no one had possession. Finally, Emph managed a pass and scored to tie it up 2-2 on T3.

I only had 7 players, not enough to stall 5 turns with. Hopefully I could tie, I thought. After a orc BH itself on a GFI on the first turn of the drive, the skinks went into action again. They rushed through the orc line, sucessfully passing 12 dodge rolls and 2 GFIs. The orcs were unable to stop the skinks and we scored on T5. 3-2

I had 5 players then. Emphasy went for a OTS, in order to have 2 turns to go for the win. Unfortunately, he messed up and then failed a dodge required to fix his mistake. A quick blitz and the ball was deep in Lizard territory. One skink had been moved into orc territory in the of chance for another score. The orcs were unable to reach the ball carrier on T7, and but the skinks had no way to keep the ball where it was. A skink rushed the ball forwards and threw it to the open skink in Orc territory. After a failed GFI to get a TZ on the ball carrier, the Lizards had won. They scored their 4th TD on T8.

------------------------------------------

I have no clue how I pulled this one out. Okay, I'm lying, I know exactly how I pulled it out: a combination of my skink's infallibility throughout the match and Emph's failure of a thrower.

But what a price?! I lost my 2nd and 3rd most skilled sauri, and my superkrox is MNG...oh, and a skink is dead, but who cares about them?

And my Superkrox...what to do with him. He is so amazing, but his high TR cost will make skilling up the new sauri difficult indeed...

Good game, Emphasy. Rematch anytime :)
