“My Hammy 1-1 Cinderfall

My Hammy walked into the building with what looked like it might be a slight swagger, but noone could really tell because they are dwarfs. Figuring for an easy match against some thin skinned rats they had written the Bengals off. The Bengals knew they had the tools to take the Dorf Grins by suprise and were ready to use them. Cinderfall won the cointoss and elected to recieve. After being called for a late hit, the Bengals had position but still had not picked up the ball, thankfully My Hammy wasn't within range to make them pay for their late hit penalty. The dwarfs quickly capitalized on the rats light armor. Al Jinxins delivered a devastating blow and Phoul Warfield delivered a late hit that went uncalled and both left rats out of the game on the dwarfs 1st plays. Team medics for the Bengals report that the two linerats in questions will be unable to wear their cusome made armor due to their injuries and will likely have to play without it in future matches once they recover. Cinderfall big man Tim Krumble retaliated for the Bengals and badly hurt a dwarf lineman on his very next action. Cinderfall took a quick assessment of their position on the field and
decided it was no time to play games with the dwarfs snarling for blood. Jeff Brake walked over to the ball picked it up and threw a long bomb over the outstretched arms of several dwarf defenders right into the waiting hands of Cris Collinsworth who walked in for the TD. But now the Cinderfall had to kick off to My Hammy and had given My Hammy plenty of time to march down the pitch. My Hammy was quickly able to bring in the ball and formed their usual slow moving running game. The Dorf Grins had the choice at one point of driving further or trying to punish their rat foes. My Hammy chose to deliver more punishment and succeeded. Over the next several turns the Dorf Grins put 5 more rats either in the BH box or on the bench for KO recovery. But their choice to deliver the punishemnt left ballcarrier Phoul able to be tied up by a quick gutter runner who snuck in from behind. Phoul failed a couple of dodge attempts and badly hurt himself in the attempt. He had the presence of mind to pass the ball off to his fellow dwarfs for safe keeping but the dwarf drive was finished for now.

My Hammy was due to recieve again and was hoping to bring back a couple of their boys who had decided to take short naps on the field. Cinderfall had 3 of their rats nursing minor injuries return to make it a 9v9 matchup for the 2nd half. This time the dwarfs made sure to deliver all the punishment they could to the offending rats who were still refusing to leave the pitch. My Hammy took a couple of high risk plays to introduce a couple of the Bengals to their fans a little more personally, and taking them out for the rest of the drive. The rats were quickly down to 4 on the pitch and it soon became The Hunt for Rodney Holman which was quickly over when Mik Kolen KO'd Rodney in hopes of preventing his lightning speed from being used in a last second scoring drive as he has been known for. Al Jinxins who had 3cas in this match walked the ball in for the Dorf Grins and they held their breath awaiting to see who Cinderfall was going to be able to field for their kickoff return. The entire dwarf team let out a sigh of relief that Rodney Holman was still napping after his recent hit and only 3 rats were able to stand on the pitch.
