Groovynelo was kind enough to play against my Khemri with his 10-man Skaven team. This would be the Khemri's first game (and my first time coaching Khemri).

This game was fairly typical of what one would expect in a matchup of bashy vs. agile - lots of quick ball movement and long gains by the Skaven team to go with the many KO and CAS they sustained. The dice were somewhat in my favor - though I did have a 2x Skull, reroll, 2x Skull moment. Of course, he failed his first die roll for a dodge on the subsequent turn! =D

A quick summary of the game:

First Half:
1. He chose to kickoff to me in the first half. I marched down the field in a cage and proceeded to KO 3 or 4 of his players. I also managed to BH his Rat Ogre with a timely foul. Since this is Academy play - I decided not to stall and went ahead and scored in Turn 5.
2. This left plenty of time for the Skavens to also score. But it wasn't meant to be. It would have been a good feat if he had scored since he only had 7 players on the ptich. He did manage a wonderful long pass as time expired, but came short of paydirt.

Second Half:
1. I believe he had 9 players to receive the kickoff and start the second half. He put a solid drive together and managed to get all the way to the goal line. There he tried to stall a bit. Unfortunately, he had some bad dice (and some injuries including 2 RIP - apoth healed one thankfully!) and I was able to get in position to knock his ball carrier out of bounds.
2. The ball bounced around for a turn or two until I ended up in possession. I attempted to move the ball for another score with the slow moving Khemri and had a chance in Turn 8. But my skeletons couldn't manage the hand-off - must be hard to get a grip on the ball with no flesh! - and the match ended.

Lessons learned from the match (in the spirit of Skavenguy13):
*Mummies hit hard. Avoid them if possible.
*Agile teams don't stall well. Score when the opportunity presents itself.
*Injuries are painful. Even the fastest teams will struggle to score when they start losing players.
*Skaven are squishy. =D

All in all it was a fun game versus a nice opponent. If you are a social person and get an opportunity to play against groovynelo, accept it. You won't be disappointed.
