“Mortarian's Guards faced off against DreckzOrkz in the second round of the Orcland Wooden Shield.

Charging in with the kickoff, the game held much promise for the Guards, yet it was not to be. The disparity in blocking quickly became apparent as the Orkz could be pushed around, but rarely down. However, they responded with enthusiasm, knocking over and stunning people left and right. Despite the poor blocking and being forced to get up from the turf repeatedly, the Guards managed to contain the Orkz and finally break through to successfully blitz the ball carrier, knocking the ball free. The Orkz responded immediately and viciously, leaving the immensely strong Chenthal and skilled blocker Demonox badly hurt. Despite the losses, the Guards managed to hold on, forcing a long pass by the Orkz thrower Thrusthot, which failed. At the last second, Polluxis set up what looked like an easy block on the black orc Grinpox. However, Grinpox was prepared enough to take Polluxis down with him, crushing Polluxis to death beneath his weight and depriving the Guards of their best ball carrier.

The second half opened up with an opportunity for the Guards, as their fans staged a riot and invaded the field, in the hopes of resolving the numerical disparity the Guards faced. Five Orkz players were stunned, and the Orkz fans (responding late to the riot) could only stun two Guards. Despite a promising start to the half, Veritas did not have the skilled hands of Polluxis and bobbled and then miss threw the ball, leaving a huge opportunity for the Orkz, which (after they got up off the turf) the began to capitalize on. With their numerical superiority they quickly tied up the remaining Guards and slowly marched the ball down field. The Guards attempted to threaten the ball carrier once or twice, but were quickly shut down and their numbers thinned even more. As time expired, Blasttwist ran in the winning score.
