The Investigators were assaulted by evil minions of Azathoth, the Blind Idiot God, bent on expediting the destruction of Arkham and the world. Despite being on the defensive the Investigators managed to turn the battle in their favor at first.

However in the later stages of the battle the Curse that had earlier afflichted Lola Hayes struck with full force, keeping her away from the fighting. This hampered the later stages of the battle for the Investigators, and while they successfully drove the hideous cultists away, no conclusive victory was gained.by either side.

Lola Hayes decided to take some time away and cure her Curse in the Southside Church, and a new replacement has been found; Finn Edwards, the Bootlegger.

This was a first for the Investigators, but they always knew their streak could not last forever. While they did not gain any ground against the Ancient Ones this time, they did not lose any. And when the fate of all humanity is at stake, that will have to do...”
