“It looked as though the Beano`s were going to get beat up by a bunch of rats during the first half, but managed to re gain their composure in the second, in a big way, cas rat piled on cas rat!
The extra space created was fully utilised, as the Beano`s scored a late td, though one tough rat didn`t know when he was beaten & nearly saved the day for the Poofs.
Closely faught match & fair result in the end.
Only one Beano skilled though is dissappointing.

By this team's standards, this was a good game even though it was a tie. No permanent injuries (1 SI MNG), decent SPPs and a skill on a SV, and the Poofs managed to stall the first half score for the full 8 turns. This was helped by 2 CAS's for the rats and a lot of skulls on 1-die blocks for the Beanos. There was even a 2 die block that went skulls up on them.
2nd half the rats got a Blitz! on the kickoff and made the most of it. I got 3 GRs behind enemy lines, and had some good matchups lined up with my SVs. However, the Beanos successfully picked up the ball and started forming a cage. Then it all went south for the rats. Somewhere around turn 3 or 4, the Beanos opened a can-o-whoop-@$$ on the rats. I think I was left with 6 rats remaining on the pitch (something like 2 BH and 3 KOs in a single turn), and less than half were standing at any given time. Some late heroics by Lemburger Leming won him the VP and scared the dwarves into scoring in turn 7 as he dodged through several tackle zones and put a 1-die blitz on Billy, but it only resulted in a pushback. With 2 turns left and only able to field 6 rats [stupid KO rolls :< ], I set up for what I hoped would be a 2 turn score but failed a 2-die blitz that would have opened a running lane and never got a GR in reach of the endzone.
Good game, with significant swings of luck at just the right moment that helped with each side scoring their lone TD. Still no FF for the Cheezie Poofs and crappy money this time. At least we don't have to replace any rats for a change.”
