“Cheers. Good match report. Pretty much covers it. A Well deserved win for poems, in retrospekt i should have played second half differently stalling in my own half instead og going for a mildly risky td. Thx for a good match tho and gl in the semifinals unless you are matched against doowa :). Have to cheer for a fellow Country man and lizzie coach. Hope to see you for a rematch in the UI prefferably with a different outcome :p ”

“WO V Quarter Finals
Handicaps for Poems: Smelling Salts, Iron Man and Palmed Coin. All nigglers (one for Poems, two for AR) played.
Poems received first due to Palmed Coin. They slowly started moving forwards causing cas and KOs as they went but didn't gain much momentum. All the blodge/sidestep elves made it quite difficult to get anywhere, add to that a healthy dose of ST4 elves and you got yourself a very tough game! Halfway throgh the drive The Streets of Laredo, the troll, felt very stupid for a couple of turns. The elves where not late to exploit this, and knocked the ball loose. A couple of turns of intense scrambling by both sides ended with the elves swooping up the ball and scoring 1-0 in their T7. Poems took out their frustration on the LoS (one KO, one BH and one RIP that was apoted).
Very bad KO-rolls for the elves forced them to start with only 8 players second half. However, being elves they still scored in two turns (with relative ease might I add!). Poems receive again.
This time Poems rushed forwards; another bout of bad KOs for the elves and a good first turn for Poems allowed them agile chaos to score in three turns. 1-2 in Poems T4.
This time the elves where down to 7 players. Once more they tried to score a quick TD, but the AG5 elf holding the ball snaked the crucial pass! The ball was left wide open, Poems surrounding it and picking it up with Once more unto the Breach, AG5 CW. AR tried valiantly to regroup and stop the score, but it was not to be and Poems score 2-2 in T8 of second half.
OT: Along the way Poems had caused even more mayhem on the opposition, and despite all the elven KOs back it was 8 vs 11 in OT. To add insult to injury the kickoff-result was Bad Kick allowing Poems to give the ball to their AG5 CW.
Despite being severly outnumbered and outgunned AR struggled on, and after some shoddy play by Poems they managed to knock the ball loose on a -2d block with Strip Ball. A chance, or so it seemed. However the next turn Nuffle laughed cruelly and when a sidestepping elf moved onto the ball lying by the sidelines it scattered back to the AG5 CW who caught it. The elf was even badly hurt by the block!
No rerolls made this tense until the last turn, but in the end Poems managed a handoff to The Hollow Men, MA7 AG4 Beastman. In the final turn a 3d block knocked away the only elf having a TZ on him and Poems score 3-2! Victory for Poems!
A very tense game (atleast on this end), and there were a lot of things that went my way this game. The crucial snaked pass by the elves second half allowed me to take it to OT, and starting with the ball seemed to seal the deal. Despite this it was a close thing, and it could very well have gone the other way. Manp played his elves very well, hats off to him. I understand that it must have been very harsh to have the game taken away from you at the last minute, but even so Manp struggled on and made me fight tooth and nail for victory.
