A heavy dose of skulls on both sides were a major factor in this game.
Vox Deus went into the second half 1-0 up, although things didn't go quite their way near the start. A 1-d block made by Horroskitt ended with the bonesaw summoned from the sideline to work his dark magicks and stave off an early sacrifice to Khorne.
However, the dorfs found themselves on the back foot at the start of the second half when the chaos worshippers' half-time prayers were answered with a blitz.
The Konquerors were forced to scramble back to secure the ball, spending valuable time building a solid cage in the middle of the pitch. Mighty dwarven blows began to take their toll, and four Deus' players were stretchered off to be soothed back to consciousness by the tender ministrations of the Slaaneshi 'whips'n'chainz' pep squad.
It came down to a final dash for the line, and the dwarven runner found himself on his own in space. With the chaosites looking at a dodge to get a shot at the ballcarrier, the skull god struck once more (for perhaps the seventh or eighth time) and Horroskit found himself in the open and needing to sprint for a shot at the ballcarrier.
Success! Compounded with a stun left the dwarves out of time and writing new passages in the Karak book of grudges.
Cheers for the game zombi. Great fun throughout and well matched teams. The next one should be a corker!
